Our Story

A little story about hair, passion, sustainability and commitment...

Dolly locks Organic Products Inc. was established in 2010 in sunny St Petersburg FL by Alin Leslie, a licensed cosmetologist and successful salon owner specializing in dreadlocks, extensions and hair education for well over 30 years! To this day the Dollylocks Product Line is still handcrafted in small batches with love and the highest quality of raw ingredients available.

It Started

In the late 90’s while living and loving life in New York City, Alin had the pleasure of working along side her friend and mentor Sonia Peterson, the leader and founder of Hair Police based in Minneapolis MN. During this time working the Hair Police Tours her love for dreadlocks flourished, she became enthralled and obsessed with this compressed, matted, organized mess of a hairstyle. Alin then began developing new ideas for dreadlock implementation and installation techniques, launching the very first Professional Organic Dreadlocking System.
